Ivy Riggs started her career first as a teaching assistant for undergraduate environmental studies in California. After completing her masters degree in the history of science, she worked as a risk analyst for an environmental consulting firm. Ivy transitioned into insurance with AIG in 1998, where she served as an underwriter for a wide variety of environmental products during her 10-year employment there. She joined Beacon Hill in August 2012, after spending several years as a wholesale broker specializing in environmental insurance placements. She holds the CPCU, ASLI, and ASI professional designations and has taught classes for the Colorado chapter of the CPCU Society since 2006. When not assisting others with understanding and managing their environmental risks, Ivy can be found at her spinning wheel or weaving loom, knitting traditional Norwegian designs, or designing tapestries.
