Originally from Salem, VA, Katie Labonte moved to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Katie joined the team at Beacon Hill Associates in June 2012 as an Office Assistant and began working in the Service Department in August 2013. She moved to the position of Administrative Assistant in the Service Department for PartnerOne Environmental in December 2014, and currently serves as a Managing Underwriter. When she is not underwriting and servicing accounts, she can be found spending time with her husband, son, and their rambunctious labs.

Please tell us about your family, interests, and hobbies.

My husband, Adam, and I met during our time at the University of Virginia. We got married in Hilton Head Island, SC in 2016, and we have two Labrador Retrievers, Jake and Watson. My hobbies include baking breads and pies, reading, and attending as many concerts as possible. I am also an EMT, and I volunteer at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad.

How long have you worked for PartnerOne and what are your job responsibilities?

I joined Beacon Hill Associates in 2012 and moved to PartnerOne Environmental in 2014. I am currently an Associate Underwriter, but I have also worked in our Service Department. My primary focus is on renewal accounts, but I work on a majority of our manure accounts and some new business accounts as well.

What do you like most about your job?

My favorite part of my job would have to be the people I work with. The employees of PartnerOne truly are a team. If someone needs a sounding board for ideas, help solving a problem, or even just an afternoon coffee, we’re there for each other.
