A naval transplant from California, Eric moved to Virginia Beach, VA in 2005. He is a graduate of The University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science. Eric joined Beacon Hill in June of 2016 as an Office Assistant and transitioned to PartnerOne Environmental team in June of 2017 where he serves as an Underwriter. Outside of the environmental insurance world, Eric’s interests are in hip-hop music and movies.

Please tell us about your family, interests, and hobbies.

I am bit of a lone wolf, but I have three siblings — one older sister and a younger sister & brother. I recently moved to Richmond, Virginia and my roommate and I adopted two cats named Alfred and Uhtred. I am interested in rap music and college basketball (Go Hoos!). I also have gathered a collection of sneakers, mainly Jordan 1s so I am a middling sneakerhead.

How long have you worked for PartnerOne and what are your job responsibilities?

I have worked with PartnerOne Environmental since 2017. I am mainly a Renewal Underwriter, and I have been branching out to write new business and other lines of business. I’m always looking for a new challenge to undertake.

What do you like most about your job?

Every account I work on has something different about it that causes me to rethink my approach to underwriting. I think this keeps things interesting and supports my professional growth. I also love the flexibility my career affords; working from home and waking up with a full pot of local coffee is a great way to work!
