Coverage Spotlight: Facilities

Regardless of the size of a facility or where it’s located, the operations performed on this type of site may make it vulnerable to environmental exposures. From production activity and storage issues, to loading/unloading considerations, it is important to review your facility clients’ operations and discuss coverage operations to address their specific needs.

PartnerOne Facilities Casualty & Pollution is a package policy that provides GL and Site Specific Pollution Liability (EIL), as well as CPL and Products Pollution Liability. It can be structured using Occurrence, Claims-Made, and Claims-Made and Reported coverage forms and will cover work performed by or on behalf of the named insured (work by subcontractors). Here are examples of sites that should have EIL in place:

  • Environmental products manufacturing
  • Transfer stations
  • Wastewater treatment plants — private or industrial
  • Landfills
  • Recycling operations — scrap metal, electronics, oil, paper or aluminum
  • Warehousing — cold storage
